I am a human geographer with an interest in the perceptions of, and responses to, environmental change. Currently, my research explores the cultural and political dimensions of climate change adaptation. I am working in Vanuatu, South Pacific on understandings of climate risk and adaptive capacity and how these shape planning and policy for adaptation, disaster risk reduction and resilience. My interests and work experience also include biodiversity conservation, energy policy and participatory development in Africa, Caribbean and the United States. I hold a B.A. (Hons) in Geography from the University of Cambridge and M.S. in Conservation Biology & Sustainable Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
